Hello, there! G’day! Kumusta! Bonjour! Ciao! Kon’nichiwa!

So you’ve found my hide-out. This is not actually what my view is right now. But I write fiction, so I’m good at imagining, right? Ideally, I would love for those hills, trees and sunlight to be my view when I write.
Back to the real world.

I’m Mumma Writer. You guessed it. I’m a mumma: I have three kids, who I’ve pseudonym’d Bean, Joey (their nicknames when they were in the belly), and Koala Babe (because, number one – koalas aren’t bears, and two – she’s the baby and she likes to cling to me. She’s also got some awesome morning cuddles!) If you think that photo is cute, check this out!
Back to what I was writing about. Me:
I’m a writer. I write by day and by night. I’ve been writing stories since I was maybe nine. (I’ve been making up stories long before then!) BUT … I also hold two part-time jobs, because the income of an emerging author isn’t that great! I do part-time because my schedule revolves around the schedule of Bean, Joey and Koala Babe. This means that I am also: driver, canteen-lady, back-stage dance mumma, cracker-of-the-whip when they need to practise their instruments, laundress, and — for some time during the forced lock-downs — home-schooler/mean substitute teacher!
My background.
I was born in the Philippines. Migrated to Australia when I was nine years old. Grew up in a Christian home, was hurt by the church, came back to Christ when I was at university, and had some roller-coaster ride since then! (Life’s an adventure, hey?)

I graduated my Bachelor of Business (Accounting major with a submajor in Law); traveled while I did my CPA; worked as an Assistant Accountant, before transferring to the state government’s tax office. (Think Land Tax and Payroll Tax; delish!) I started as a mean tax collector and ended up as an auditor (fun, right!)
I got a bit bitter about this, so I tried another degree: Bachelor of Teaching (Primary), and I ended up doing a lot of casual (substitute teaching) as well as being a substitute librarian at a local public school (aahhh, books!)
Then I found my soul-mate and got married. Then fell pregnant with Bean. And then stopped working to raise a wee lit’l family! And then there were three … It was after the third one started preschool that I began looking for a part-time job … to reclaim some sanity and have adult conversations again!
Meanwhile …
During my period of procreation, I revisited my love for story-writing and took some courses on Children’s Writing, as well as Proofreading, Editing and Publishing. (Didn’t really make the most of it as I was too scared to show my writing to the world, so my notebooks, papers and folders just began to pile up.) We also did a lot of traveling as a family during those years. And if you’re familiar with what’s been going on the last two years, you’d agree that it was a good idea we didn’t wait ‘until the kids are older’ to see the world.
What this website is about.
Well, I don’t know, really. I’ve been told I need a platform and some place where I can tell people to go if they want my books. I suppose I’ll post a couple of updates every now and again, just so you know (if you’re really interested) what I’m up to. You can read about what’s stewing in my head from all my Posts. And this website — just like its author — will likely change over time. ‘Cause, you know, I’m a work-in-progress (like many of the stories I started to write but haven’t finished!)
So, well … here it is. And … welcome!
